vw golf mk 4 tdi cooling fan not kik in?

hi i have mk4 golf tdi the fan not kiking but there is no overheat and the temperature gouge is in 90 any help

On modern motors the best way for to check your fan operation is to get it onto the correct computer which will do a self test for various components on the motor,including the fan,if it operates then you know the wiring from the ecu down to the fan is ok,then you can start looking at sensors etc
