How can we repair our Bose Wave CD radio?

Our Bose Wave Radio/CD suddenly started an annoying humming noise on the radio. Can this be repaired cost-effectively.
thanks

If it is the older Wave Radio with the AM loop antenna jack on the back, to the right of the FM jack, you are going to need capacitors replaced, lots of them. They are all old and leaking. We replace 30 or more when servicing these units and do it at a flat rate charge of $69.95 (includes return shipping). Ship to: Don Miller, CET Services, 117 Windsor Ave., Hurley, WI 54534.

Check to see if you have an appliance (TV, lamp, cellphone charger, etc.) plugged into the same circuit. Note that other outlets in the same or other room can be on the same circuit, so you will have to experiment with unplugging different items around your home. I have found that an iphone charger was causing the interference, and that the noise went away when the phone was unplugged. When not in use, the charger did not cause interference. Other home appliances that are not shielded can also cause interference, like microwave ovens or fridges, but this is less likely.
