54 Reg. CORSA 'C' front shock absorber TOP MOUNT?

The Top Mount, that sits directly into the top coil of the front coil spring, is angled at the top. In what ROTATIONAL position does it sit in the spring? Can't see the theory behind angle!

the angle is there to compensate for the coil of the spring,if I remember the thin part of the mount is facing you when the strut is on the motor,if it is incorrectly fitted it very noticeable and just doesn`t look right.
