Having noticed the poor reliability of the 4400, I wished I had not just ordered one. Delivered the next day, very prompt. However, it doesn't heat up. Lights are on. I have tried turning off, leaving it for 15 mins and longer, tried again, several times. No heat!

It's going straight back for a refund. Previously I have owned a basic model and it worked for years.

As you say - you send it back - if you mess around with it you'll invalidate your warranty.
