My pendulum was working fine until I stopped it manually myself. Had guests over to sleep & did not want it to chime. When I pushed the pendulum to restart it, it moved only 200 times then stopped. How do I get it to work properly as it was doing for so many faithful years?

Take the clock to a repairer - an horologist - yellow pages for your area might help.

Could be that dust has gummed up the light oil on the mechanism - your clock might need cleaning and regulating.
