Plug socket switch won't turn off?

Hi,
One of my plug socket of my 4 plug sockets in 1 just won't turn off. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it from the main socket. It is not much of a problem as the "malfunctioning" socket is always on/used. However, will this be a problem later on?
