how can i fix my hotpoint dy46x/2 oven?

the main oven works perfectly,but the top oven grill does,nt heat and when turning the top oven on to cook it trips out the electricity.

I changed both elements but still the same problem The complete oven had never been used before has it has been stored in the garage for 3 years from new.

the heating element in the top oven is gone/dead. take it out and replace it with one of the same /shape and size,
