Panasonic password reset?

I bought a used Panasonic PT-F100NTU LCD Projector. When you turn it on a security screen comes up and asks for a password. Without the password all buttons are locked except the ones you need to type in the password with. So it is worthless the way it is. Is there a way to override this or make up a new password? There is no way to know what the original password was.

We have a conference coming up soon and need help quick.

Thank you,
Larry

I would ask for your money back - as you point out - without the password the device is useless.

There are several explanations as to why you don't have the magic word.

Did you ask for a demonstration before buying it?
