JCM Gold 2250 cash registers?

The paper on the spindle does not stay tight, it looks like the thin black belt that is attached to wind the spindle is stretched out. Can this belt be replaced?

This is a common problem when the belt ages.
They are hard to get for some models now. Check with a dealer and if they don't have it, you can often use one from home stereo cassette decks so try an audio repairer
