Dualit Kettle Model JKT2?

Hello: The light comes on the kettle, but it does not boil. Can you advise?

But the cold kettle says the heating element is defective

Some kettles (very few) can be repaired - very probably not the one you have - I see nobody offering Dualit kettle Elements for sale. Time for a new one - Asda used to have one for £12!
