Shut-off of gas after ignition (oven at bottom) ?

cannon pearl duo model 10292G gas oven

Turning the knob for oven (first one from left), the gas is ignited and begins to burn.
The sound tick-tick continues even after I take my hand off from the knob.
After 5-7 seconds, the gas is shut off.
