Thanks or the reply.
It's the temperature regulator for the hotplate (http://www.gdhaonline.co.uk/Stoves/Spare-Parts-Detail.aspx?Product=444445537&Accessory=082590800) that's not working.
There doesn't appear to be any visible screws securing the fascia, if I can remove the fascia I should be able to access the regulator and that's where I'm stuck. It may be that there are screws securing the "hobtop" which has to be removed to give access to what ever secures the fascia in place, any advice welcome.

What do you mean by "Control Unit"?

Is it this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STOVES-61EHDO-OVEN-TIMER-DISPLAY-CLOCK-OVEN-COOKER-/321792744332

or this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STOVES-61EHDO-OVEN-FASCIA-OVEN-COOKER-/221820828748

If you mean the fascia, check underneath the front face, at the sides and along the back above the rings, if accessible, for screws. Make sure you know how to re-set the timer and set the oven to manual. (Manuals are easy to search for - Google is your friend.

Shut off the cooker power and remove the knobs before trying to remove the fascia - these should just pull off. See more advice here:

Once you have the fascia off, you can then change the time. Please use pencil and paper to record which wire goes where - don't rely on memory!
