Creative stuck on logo?

My creative zen microphoto 8gb is stuck on the logo, and I trying to use the options in the recovery mode just doen't work. The device isn't even detected by my computer, so I can't download any new firmware. Help please?

As "Cavemanish" as this sounds...after reading many other posts...we fixed ours by removing the battery cover and battery and dropping it on a hard surface from about 6 feet in the air! It works now.
