What engine is it ie; briggs or honda
if briggs with the little red primer bulb, then id say it is your diaphram that needs replaced

Symptomatic of not enough fuel but that's just a guess.
Also a guess is that the fuel lines may have perished from being exposed to unleaded fuel.

My suggestion is that you take the machine to a reliable service shop and have them work on it.
