i have a moffat 3500 size 760 x 480. it has a gas leak. the man from the gas board checked it . waved his hand over one of the burners and said it was coming from this area,
difficult size to find a replacement. how do i go about a repair

Yu find out from where the leak is coming and fix that.

Soap bubble test on pipework and joints and around taps

Soap bubble test on jet of suspect burner would suggest whether it is the valve.
