Flymo 600XT hedgecutter will not switch off?

When I plug it in it starts straight away and no pressing of switches has any effect. I have to unplug iit to stop it,
Can anyone suggest a fix?

Yes, get someone COMPETENT to check the switch and replace it if necessary.
