Deleting in word?

I have new toy a Galaxy A6 tablet, on it is Microsoft word, on thatw is a read only document that doesn't allow changes or deletion.
I never put protections on any file I just transfer important ones to external drive via laptop.
Attempts to delete this document is thwarted by " you haven't permission to deleat this file."
How do I over ride /close this permission feature.
In layman's terms please I'm computer technology illiterate
Thank you

OLIVER Thanks for your respons.
Yes I loaded the word and excel apps from play store on the Galaxy.

It's the only file that is a 'Read Only' all others are normal editable files.
I am going to try loading it on to my lap top the transfer that file if possible to a small memory sd card I don't use.

Are you using the right app on your tablet? It sounds like you might be using a document viewer, not Microsoft Word itself.
