C you can turn off the solid tone on a Scantronic alarm 9427?

After doing a partial set of our alarm in the house (we have a dog in one room) We have 10 secs of a solid keypad tone at night. is there a way to turn this off as it's pretty loud late at night.

Thanks

Hi, how are you setting the alarm? Are you omitting the zone where the dog is or are you part setting, ie using 2+enter+code?

If you are omitting a zone this cannot be silent, but part setting can be. I don’t know how your system is programmed, but it can be programmed to remove the zone you require off and also set silently. Can’t tell you how in an open forum but manuals readily available for your system. The system is a 9448, the 9427 refers to the keypad. Hope this helps.

Hi Alan,
We can take a zone out of the alarm (eg dog in living room) but when we set the alarm we still get that continuous tone from the panel for about 10 seconds before it sets

Yes, but silent part set has to be programmed in the engineer setup. Presumably this hasn’t been done on yours.
