Quick wash cycle not taking powder?

My Hoover HSW150M has stopped taking powder from the dispenser drawer, on Quick wash cycle only. I have cleaned the drawer, and it works ok on Cycle 4 for instance. Is this the start of the electronics breaking down - ie. Time to buy a new washer?
