Ideal FF260 cover removal?

I have an Ideal FF260 boiler from which I want to remove the front cover. It dates from 1998.

I have a service manual which was downloaded from the web and it says "Release two screws at the bottom, swing the casing forward until it clears the controls pod then lift off.

However this did not go well. The cover fouled the control pod and even when I managed to work around this it wouldn't lift off. The illustration in the manual is similar but not the same as the actual boiler.

Methinks there has been a design change not noted in the manual. Searching the web suggests there may clips or screws at the top however I haven't been able to find them.

Access is not good as it's in a cupboard high up on the wall so can anyone tell me what it is that's stopping it coming off and where it is?

Just in case someone else want's to know.

I have found two captive screws on the top of the boiler, one each side. They're on the outside of the case and I didn't find them previously because I can't easily see the top because it's in a cupboard.

The idea is that you undo all four and then slide the cover forwards to remove. Fine, but it's not done yet. I'll need a ridiculously long screwdriver to clear the cupboard to undo them and I don't have such a thing despite having a mass of tools. Will have to cobble up an extension somehow.
