MP3 IITRONICS IMP11 DELETED FILES?

I only have a 256mb IMP11 IItronics mp3 it only holds 74 songs, well
it used to. I deleted them off and put some more on and could only put 28 on, tried again and could only put 27, i`m now down to 25 and the file is saying full. What has gone wrong and how do i fix ?
