i have a diplomat dishwasher?

i have a diplomat intergrated dishwasher but it keeps on stopping mid cycle with E3 displayed on the programme cycle window what does this mean? please help

I recently bought a place and it has a diplomat intergrated dishwasher but when I set the program to P4 (normal wash) and close the door to start washing it beeps and gives me the E3 error. I have since tried all the programs from 0 - 8 and still gives me the same error.

E3 means that the dishwasher is unable to heat the water.
Maybe the heating element is open circuit?
