Where is my Baxi central heating pump ?

My downstairs radiators have suddenly packed in completely. I was looking on this site and have concluded that the pump has died as my upstairs radiators are piping hot.

Only thing is I can't find the circulation pump.

I have a Baxi Bermuda Fire with a back boiler... probably about 20 years old.

I've never been able to hear a pump in the past though, although I understand they are fairly quiet in operation.

Can anyone help ?

Cheers
Keith

we think that the circulation in your system is "gravity fed" (ie does NOT have a pump, and relies on gravity/convection to circulate the water)

being 20 years old, it is most likely blocked somewhere in the ground floor system - get the system cleaned/flushed-out

if your upstairs rads are ok then i wouldn't be looking at the pump. 9/10 times if your pump is not working the boiler would get hot and over heat stat would come in bescause the hot water is not being pulled away from boiler. i would look more for an air lock or blockage to downstairs rads. sometimes the pump was in a side panel next to the boiler in the wall. over the yrs they get wall papered over and the can't see the screws, try tapping wall for a hollow panel
