If it is a Briggs engine you can date get the engine manufacture date from the Code Number on the engine it's self.
The first two didgits are the year - next two the month - next two the day. Ex 720215XXXX Would have been manufactured Feb 15th 1972. If the engine is the original that date would be real close to the manufacture date of the tractor.
