How can I get pictures to show when the format is html?

If I am on the internet and I click to see an articlei.e. pictures of the Grammys, all that appears is a blank where the picture should be and in the upper left corner is a box with an X in it. When I click the tiny box it gives me the type of protocal, in this case html.I can see some pictures but seems anything html doesn't show.

I guess that it is just one site that is causing the problem. The little red box means that the picture is missing from the host site and therefore there is nothing that you can do to view them. Except you could try contacting the site owner and letting them know.

BTW. For future reference it is helpful if you say what browser you are using and the URL(s) of any problem sites.

In IE go to tools, internet options, advanced. Scroll down to multimedia. There should be a thing that says "Show pictures" Check that this is ticked, and that the "Show Image Placeholders" is unticked.
