i have a panasonic dvd DMR e50 recorder?

I have been unable to use this recorder since I bought it as I kept it for over a year befor starting to use it(I had other players). The recorder cannot read the movie that i put in it and I am unable to open the drawer, making it redundant for about 2 years.please healp

the disc in the drawer may have come dislodged and the drawer cannot open because the disk is blocking it take it to a shop and get them to take the disk out..

On the recorder, first ensure it is mains powered but switched to standby.

Then press and hold down the 'STOP BUTTON' and 'CHANNEL UP BUTTON' together for 5-10 seconds. Drawer should open.
