52 Plate Ford Focus windscreen wipers?

When I switch my wipers on they will not stop in the horizontal position when switched off. WHen I switch the wipers off they will stay where they are and not return to the 'bottom' position. I can only return the wipers using intermitent. What can I do to fix them? can you help me please?

you need a new wiper relay - I had the same problem with my 52 plate focus. Ford issued a technical service bulletin about this.
