How can I replace my Ford Focus door mirror?

I have bought a replacement door mirror for my 2001 ford focus. I''m having trouble removing the old door mirror as I can access any ofthe bolts? Could you advise me on what I need t removing in order to achieve this?

I understand that you are trying to replace the WHOLE mirror assy.?On the inside of the door, there should be a small lever for adjusting the mirrors angle, this will come off after a slight twist (Either right or left,i can't remember)then gently pull off the plastic cover by pulling " the back end (Nearest the engine) first. This should give you access to the one 10mm bolt holding the mirror in. Unscrew this BE AWARE that the mirror will drop off if its not supported!then gently fiddle the adjustment cables through the door frame Putting the new mirror is the reverse of the above. To fit a mirror glass, angle the mirror towards you (Stand along side the mirror,NOT infront of it)and gentlly pull on it,whilst doing this twist the mirror glass away from you and the mirror should pull free A bit fiddly but it becomes obviouse when the mirror comes out!
