I start my 1991 ford escort, and drive it for like 5-10 min, then it will stop running, and will not start, then I let the car sit, for maybe 5 min, then it will start again, then it goes out again and wont start? can you help me, suggest what it might be?

It sound like to me its your ignition coil, when it gets hot it cuts off and after it cools down it starts up...

Hi Greg; This is just a thought, as it sounds like a prob I had with a 79 1/2 ton Ford truck. Turned out to be the fuel filter was pluged so bad you couldnt blow through with your mouth.It was a new filter installed a few weeks before the trouble started. Im pretty sure I picked up a dirty batch of gas.
