I ran out of oil, i have oil now but the boiler fires up and then dies

you need to purge the oil throught to the oil pump as it sound like u have air in the line after running out u can do this by finding the screw on the oil pump marked v or p loosen the allen screw slightly and allow the air to be purged from the oil line do not remove screw as when oil comes out you might not be able to replace it hope this helps
