my airbag control light came on whilst driving...what does this mean?

my vehicle is a mk6 ford escort van..n reg & this evening after jump starting it & driving a few miles the airbag control light on the dashboard came on & stayed on.What is the fault please

You need to reset your ecu, just disconnect your battery for 2 hours and that will rest it and the light will go off

Its telling you that there is a problem in the air bag system
As long as lite is on the airbag is disabled
