My Ariston Margherita A1635 has no spin cycle?

My Ariston Margherita A1635 does not appear to have a spin cycle. I have tried to just spin in all programmes, without success. The Knob just clicks on round to the end of that cycle. I really can't believe this ! Help, anyone, please ?
