How can I stop my shoes from squeaking?

I have a pair of leather women's dress shoes with rubber soles. Whenever I wear them at work, they squeak down the tiled halls. Besides changing jobs, any suggestions on how to keep my shoes from squeaking?

You are right Steve. I looked all over for an answer to this problem for myself.
Everybody wants to treat the inside of the shoe (baby powder etc.) or put some kind of greasy stuff (hair conditioner or silicon) which will be great for carpet!
The ability to read and comprehend is becoming a lost art.

Did you guys even read the question? It's the bottom of the soles that are squeeking against the tiles, not the inside of the shoe. What I do is walk around outside on concrete, grinding the soles in twisting motions, it makes it quieter for an hour or so. I'm still looking for a sure fix.

put baby powder on the area that is squeeking

You can use baby oil or baby oil gel. Rub a generous amount on the inside of the shoe and it should stop the squeaking noise. I did it for a pair of leather shoes and it worked like a charm.

You can lift the insole up and add a little drop of 3 in 1 oil to the center of the insole from the heel down to the finish of the arch. this is where the steel shank is held in order to keep the shoes high arched shape
