Usually when i turn on my ps2 slimline it makes a noise, now it makes no noise and doesnt recognize when a game is in there and the disc never spins. It's never happened before and it is quite worrying can you help?

more then likely your lens is out of place and is not reading there is a disk take it to your nearest gamestation the will fix it for £25

if the disc doesnt spin at all then it is more than likely one of the onboard fuses have blown, i repaired one of these about 3 weeks ago, all u need is a 15 watt soldering iron and a multi meter and a new fuse (i got mine from an old p3 mobo)
it is a daunting task and does take time, but will be cheaper than buying a new one
