Is it fairly easy to replace the CCD IC on a JVC GRD23EK or similar camcorder? I can buy a new CCD, but am I able to mend it myself.
There is no picture through the view finder, ther flip up screen says the lense cap is on, and the screen and viewfinder shows multiple coloured vertical lines. The local camers shop says it is the CCD.

Hi I going to try and replace my CCD on my JVC GR-D20 , So I shall make some notes and post them back, I have not sourced a CCD yet, were do you get them from.?
JVC are doing free repairs if you have your Receipt or warranty for this camera, but they will not do mine..
