how do i fix the drum bearings on my indesit w161?
my machine is very noisy when spinning althought the drum does not seem loose i have been told that it is the drum bearings and it will cost me about £90 to get it fixed am i being conned?
I was quoted £189 to replace the bearings and after that the drum its self may need replacing as the shaft is also at fault. Not the most reliable machine in the world. Mine is 14 months old!! just waiting for it to destroy the element before buying a replacement.

£90 is o.k. for this repair , but how old is the washer .If the washer is say less than three years old .The replacement bearings will not last as long as the original bearings ,It may be better to buy a cheap new machine .
