Hoover Ecowave 5 sticks on various cycles?

Hello
My washing machine sticks on several cyles. I have to slowly click the dial to advance it into the next part of the cycle. Is this a big deal? Is it just a part I need. Plenty of water is going into it so I don't think that is the problem.
