Breville JK66 - Won't stop boiling!?

My £60 Breville JK66 with Brita filter won't stop boiling. It fills the kitchen with steam. It's done this since new. Unfortunately, it's now out of warranty. Breville are not interested in supplying a replacement thermostat. Any ideas?

If it did it since new why didn't you simply return it or ask for a replacement?

Only thing I can tell you is I bough the same Kettle for £35 last week from Costco and it did the same thing the first few times and after that was fine
