How can i add a cd player to a fiat punto 2006?

Just a bit of advise i need really i have recently purchared a Fiat Punto on a 56 plate - and i am looing to install a CD player instead of the stanard radio. i tried to do this a few weeks ago so purchared the new surround and a new cd player but i this didnt work - do i need any extra cables to connect a new cd player to the existing leads

Hi, first to get it out you will need to get some stereo removal keys, (about 3 pounds on ebay) they're u-shaped keys that you push into the four holes either side of the stereo. You can go into any audio shop, say halfords and tell them what car you have and they will give you a stereo with the right cabling. simply release the old stereo using the keys, and replace the wires into the new stereo (they only fit in one place each) then you will need a fascia adapter again about five pounds from ebay) which goes around your new stereo and covers the rest of the gap in the dashboard where the factory fit radio would have been larger.
