what i the little draw for on the door?

there is a little draw on the inside of the door? not the one you put the tablets in, but the one to the left of it, what is it for and what is the little dial inside for???
The make of diswasher is a hotpoint aqurius dwf 30
Can anyone help ???

Sounds like the rinseaid compartment. The dial is the adjustment for water hardness

This is for rinse aid fill it till little silver window goes black the dial is 4 dispence strength suggest u read the manual
