i had the same type of problem if you go to site, www.sonyericsson.com/support you can check the down loads it might need the software down loading to your phone, what you will need is the cable that connects the phone to the usb. port on a computer. and follow the instructions. you might lose the pictures on your phone, i did when i carried this operation. best of luck, happy new year.
