Can"t get hot water?

My combi boiler is called worcester 9.24.When i run the hot tap it doesn"t warm up,only when the heating is put on, then it only warms for a few seconds and go"s cold again

if the boiler is not firing up when you turn the tap on I would suspect the hot water diaphragm in the diverter valve
