My Weedeater Hedge Trimmer won't start?

My Weedeater Hedge Trimmer won't start. I have spark and compression and fuel is getting to the carborator. My fuel mix is good as I run other two cycle engines on the smae fuel.

Any suggestions?

always check that the air filter is dry. Also check the plug, if it is black or wet this is an indication that the air/fuel mixture isn't correct. Try cleaning the plug with a wire brush.

insulation on wire on/off switch to the magneto / spark plug wears out where it nears the cylynder head and enters and shorts against the head or the wire from the switch wears thru where it enters the plastic cover and makes contact intermittently

Mine starts, but only for a few seconds, then dies. I have to set it to full choke again, pull the cord a few times, then set it to medium and it will start again - only to die in about 10 seconds.

the fuel hose has probably hardened up and needs replacing ,also where the hose comes out of the handle ,next to the electrics is a fault ,the gap where it comes out needs to be opened out just a little becuase the fit is so tight the fuel hose is crushed and restricts the fuel flow .good luck .

Choke on? Did you prime it according to the directions? Is spark plug wire connected? Try these.
