look for support on your product, if you find the firmware update or downgrade run the updater and make sure you are updating properly, for the kz111/112 hold the "play" button when updating the firmware, don't install drivers or software that came with the MP3, most players come with the Sigmatel 3500 series chip, if is that that case wen xp looks for a driver make sure to select "look for an update (internet)" and it will find the generic driver, and run the firmware updater wile holding the "Play" button, and it may be that you installed the mp3 software and it's doing a firmware update on the background, if it is peforming an update stop the process using the task manager.
