does anyone know of any causes of the bearings going on a servis washing machine, I know it's not the motor or the brushes, but I have a feeling it's the bearings as their is some noise

Hello Donna,
The causes of bearing going bad is either a faulty bearing being fitted in the first place, or,the seal has been damaged and water has got into the bearing, this can be cause by limescale, if you are sure the bearing has gone you will soon know because it will sound like a plane, watch for water suddenly appearing underneath the machine.
