taken my escort 1.8 td for an mot today and the only problem they found was that the offside outer driveshaft gaitor had split how bad is this

the spilt ones are the best and very easy to use.just take your time with the glue i find its better to glue it in 20 mm lengths and grip with pliers till set ..hope this helps

Basically it will need replacing as mot fail.Problem you need to take out the drive shaft at the wheel end.You can buy split ones but not very good.BEST OF LUCK
