My Toyota RS2000 does not run as fast as it used to?

My Toyota RS2000 does not run as fast as it used to. When pedal is fully down machine is only half of its original speed. Any ideas please.

Hello Ken,
It masy well be a motor problem, if you can hold the balance wheel tightly and press on the foot control and hold the machine without much effort then you have a motor problem but first of all try oiling the machine with very thin oil.
