John Deere L111 Mower with B & S 20 HP V twin engine, Model 406577 Type 013?

John Deere L111 Mower with B & S 20 HP V twin engine, Model 406577 Type 0139 runs fine when started cold, then coughs and quits after 15 minutes or so. Have already changed oil, spark plugs, gas, fuel filter, air filter and fuel pump. What next?

The answer is, the fuel cap vent, it is a common issue with these things. Clean out the hole in the middle of the fuel cap.

Check the vent holes on the gas cap. While running when it starts to quit, loosen the gas cap. If this fixes it, the vent holes in the gas cap are plugged up and need to be cleaned.

Well it was running, then problem came back. I had been adding fuel stabilizer which helped to the point where I could mow the whole long then the run time would cut down now Im back to where I was. After 15mins it dies. When it's running you can hear a slight misfire it will run without the blades engaged, when I engaged sputters and dies.

My Craftsman starts then sputters and quits. We changed the fuel filter, cleaned the air filter and carb, and replaced the solenoid. It didn't help. I read some posts that mentioned the float. Any clue about that and where to find it and clean it?

Hi Took the top part of the engine off (the black cover) and there was a mess of debris under the air intake, used my shop vac to suck all the muck out and primed the carb (the battery was dead so had to jump) drove around the yard for 15-20mins no problems and the battery held the charge. Hope that helps.

I have done: fuel filter, spark plugs, checked the air filter.

if anyone has an answer on how to fix, let me know!
