Ariston A1435 stoppped part way through a wash?

Ariston A1435 stopped part way through a wash. The programmer dial is turning continuously and the light flashes 6 times, pauses for 10 seconds and flashes 6 times. Can anyone tell me what this error code means please? Thanks.
