I have recently moved home and my boiler is not working correctly. The Central Heating comes on when the Hot Water is switched on. Even if the Central Heating switch is on OFF it still comes on and seems to ignore the temp set on the thermostat. Does anyone know how to stop the Central Heating coming on with the Hot Water so I can just have either one or the other and get it to work with the thermostat ?

Is that a Potterton Netaheat Electronic?

Also, you should have a wall mounted control panel, with the options (CH = Central Heating and HW = Hot Water) make sure they are adjusted properly, other than that, it seams, something else is really wrong, you may not be able to fix it without expert help which I can't provide because I don't know.
